The issue of transgenderism has been gaining increasing attention in American politics for more than a decade, but it’s no surprise when personal choices start intersecting with public policy, but for Vice President Kamala Harris, it’s a disaster. This problem surfaced at the time of.
The idea that a man could simply identify himself as a woman has always had policy concerns. There were also questions about women’s shelters, prisons, locker rooms and bathrooms, but no one speaks more clearly to these issues than the men who participate in women’s sports.

There is no way around this. When gender is a determination or a biological reality is a binary choice, and Democrats find it politically advantageous to label Republicans who defend biological reality as intolerant. I made this choice.
This is not hydraulic fracturing or Medicare. Harris is in no position to “evolve” on transgender issues without irrevocably alienating the left wing of her party. She cannot simply say, “I was wrong, gender is determined by biology,” any more than Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson can define the word “woman.”
With just three weeks left until Election Day, Republicans from both the top and bottom of the polls are bombarding football games with ads about the unfair and dangerous nature of men in women’s sports. More and more women are raising their voices.

I specifically mention Virginia voters because this blue-bent commonwealth has a Republican governor, Glenn Youngkin, in large part because of his reasonable stance on cultural issues such as this.

The Trump campaign and the Republican Party, by and large, know they are the winners on this issue. They, like the news media, know they are leaving no leeway for Harris. This is the same candidate who just five years ago introduced himself to CNN’s City Council by saying, “My pronouns are she, she, and her.”
It’s hard to undo that.
No, in this bed Harris and the Democrats have made for themselves, even as more and more voters realize that this ridiculous notion that gender is a choice has serious real-world consequences. I’ll have to sleep.

The transgender spectacle is coming to an end. Everyone has the right to dress how they want and call themselves what they want, but everyone has the right to insist that others deny reality in order to suit their own tastes. there is no.
