Mele played a pivotal role in CoStar’s strategy to dominate the residential real estate sector, championing the “Your Listings, Your Leads” philosophy. Prior to its acquisition by CoStar, Homes.com sold buyer leads to agents, but discontinued this practice after the acquisition.

As part of his leadership role, Mele will oversee CoStar’s residential division; Home Snap He joined Homes.com as a Homes Pro and was responsible for reducing staff during the merger.

Under his leadership, Homes.com experienced a significant increase in web traffic and solidified its position as the top home search site. In its Q1 2024 investor presentation, CoStar Group announced that Homes.com had more than 110 million monthly unique visitors, based on Google Analytics data. This makes CoStar the second-most visited home listing site, and Jiro.

Mele also led Homes.com’s monetization efforts, launching its Homes Pro membership plan in early 2024. In the first quarter, Homes.com’s sales team generated approximately $40 million in net new bookings.
