“Selling Sunset” star Krisel Stause is on a mission to redeem Emma Hernan and condemn Nicole Young ahead of the show’s Season 8 premiere.
“Extra’s” Billy Bush spoke with Chris Elle, who claims Nicole spread “dangerous lies” about Emma.
Stause said, “The only time she’s ever been in the news has been when she’s tried to disparage me and Emma, which means she’s trying to do what she’s done before. It’s unfortunate that she’s been given the platform to do it again and that Emma was not given a chance to defend herself, because the evidence that’s coming out will show that it’s so obviously false.”
She added: ” [the rumor] The person Nicole names will be the first to say, ‘Oh my goodness, Nicole, that’s not what I said.'” All the evidence will come out, but unfortunately we’ll have to wait until it airs to post it.”
Chrishell defended Emma, saying she wished the show had given her a chance to defend herself.
Stause noted that the Emma and Nicole drama has overshadowed many of the season’s accomplishments.
She said, “We’ve done a lot this season. A lot of deals, a lot of things that I’m very proud of, but unfortunately, because this is my best friend, a lot of things get overshadowed. I think it’s dangerous to lie about someone when you know it’s not true and you’ve been told in writing that it’s not true… It’s unfortunate.”
Chrishell also reiterated her thoughts, saying she would not be joining season 9 if Nicole were to join.
She claimed she would “never be on a show with her again.”
“Why give her more airtime when we’ve seen someone systematically plot against several people for eight seasons,” Stause stressed. “This is not what viewers want to see or hear. If someone is just willing to lie on camera, viewers are going to be jaded.”
She added: “We’re celebrities and we’re dealing with high-value luxury real estate. There’s no need to outright lie and there’s drama just trying to fight for camera time. I think it’s a lot more entertaining that way.”
Chrishell wants women to “uplift each other” instead of tearing down other women. “I have a moral code that says I don’t want to be involved in anything that’s going to get me more airtime,” she said.
Stause called Young a “total liar,” adding, “She just hired a crisis management team because she realized she was telling the biggest lie of all.”
On a happier note, Chrishell spoke about her plans to marry G. Flip and have a family.
“We’re working on it,” she said. “We’re going to have a family.”
She added, “We are a same-sex couple and as you know, we have faced many obstacles. It has been a long journey. We are still working through it, but we are hopeful that we will be able to enter a new chapter soon.”
Chrishell said she filmed some scenes with G. Flip but he didn’t appear in the new season, joking that there “wasn’t enough drama” between them.
“Selling Sunset” will premiere on Netflix on September 6th.
