How to turn off “Discoverable by Nearby Contacts”
- Pick up your iPhone and tap setting
- Then scroll down until you find Apple Music and click on it.
- When you scroll, Discoverable by nearby contacts option.
- This feature allows your contacts to find you when you’re playing music in your car through Apple’s SharePlay feature. But maybe you don’t want everyone to know that you’re obsessed with Taylor Swift, right?Therefore, it is recommended to toggle this switch off To keep music tastes low.

Do you want to use listening history? Think again
- go to setting tap on it
- Then scroll down until you find Apple Music and click on it
- Then scroll up to see Use listening history
- When this is on, everything you play will pop up in Recently Played and influence your recommendations. Also, if you have an Apple Music profile, all your followers can see it.If you want your playlist to be a bit of a secret, it’s best to turn this on off, Too.
