Arab talent, designers and stars alike, turned heads on the red carpet at Cannes 2024 opening night.

On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, the opening night of the 2024 Cannes Film Festival attracted several celebrities from around the world.
The 77th Cannes Film Festival illuminated the Côte d’Azur with the excellence and splendor of films rich in Arab expression.
Arab designers made their mark at this prestigious event, including Elie Saab, Saeed Khobeisy, Zuhair Murad, Atelier Zuhra, and more.
Held from May 14th to May 25th, many attendees chose to wear costumes by regional designers for the opening festivities. Let’s take a look:
Elie Saab
Lebanese designer Elie Saab dressed iconic actress Jane Fonda as she attended a film premiere. Le Douziem Acte. Saab also dressed up as Chinese actress and singer Guan Xiaotong that night.
Saeed Kobeisy
German-American model and TV presenter Heidi Klum was blown away by Lebanese designer Saeed Kobeisi.
Zuhair Murad
Zuhair Murad dressed Australian model Shanina Sheikh in a stunning off-the-shoulder look.
Arab stars were equally stunning on the opening night of the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.

Nadine Labaki
Lebanese-Canadian actor Nadine Labaki, one of the judges, looked stunning in a jeweled power suit by Celine and Cartier.
Yara Al-Namra
Saudi Arabian entrepreneur and internet sensation Yara Al-Namra made a stunning appearance on the first day’s red carpet wearing an all-black ensemble and Chaumet jewelry.
Meanwhile, Meryl Streep, 74, won the prestigious Palme d’Or and received a two-minute standing ovation.
