Do I like seeing men hitting women? I don’t. Are there any exceptions? None that I can think of.

But the International Olympic Committee has decided differently: it’s OK to watch a man beat up a woman, as long as it’s in a giant stadium and televised for the whole world to see. Got it?

I am referring, of course, to the bout in a boxing ring in Paris on Thursday, pitting an Italian female athlete, Angela Carini, against an opponent named Imane Kherif.

In the past, Kherif has been considered “biologically male,” meaning man, guy, man, mate — all words that we once knew how to use, but that suddenly seem incredibly complicated.

Last year, Kherif was disqualified from the world championships after failing a testosterone test that was found to have levels well above normal for a woman.

But that didn’t seem to be a problem for the IOC, which is perhaps unsurprising in an Olympics that kicked off with an opening ceremony focused on a queer veneration of bearded women and bold drag queens.

For years, activists and female athletes have been warning about the presence of biological males in women’s sports, a trend that has recently spread to almost every known field.

Some of these cases have made national news, such as William (now called Leah) Thomas, who was born male but has competed as a woman for the past five years.

Female athletes rarely get sympathy when they complain about this, and when one of the women who played against Thomas, Riley Gaines, spoke out, she was met with a torrent of hate.

When Gaines spoke at the University of California, Davis, last year, she was confronted by a mob of “transgender rights” activists who broke glass, painted graffiti on buildings, and attacked people — a great way to show how much they hate women. But let’s not forget that all these protesters are part of the “love is love” crowd. Rightfully so.

And yet it’s amazing how little sympathy these women have received, and how often they have been made controversial, with no one standing up for their rights, and their right to say the things that everyone was saying until about five years ago.

Boxing champ slams Olympic gender debate: ‘It definitely failed’

Young women who have worked all day to reach their highest performance potential have had their dreams dashed. Time and time again they have won silver or bronze medals or just missed out on the podium.

And yet, isn’t it all “progress”?

Not surprisingly, it was the more violent sports that first woke up some people to the fact that there was a real problem.

It’s been over a decade since my friend Joe Rogan noticed something was wrong. Being into MMA, he was one of the people who noticed what was happening when “Fallon Fox” competed in amateur women’s cage fighting and did very well.

Fox was born male, enlisted in the Navy, then worked as a truck driver to save up money and get surgery to look like a woman, but when he stepped in the ring, the biological female beat the hell out of them, to the point that some in the MMA world were like, “Oh, well.”

Others, like Logan, pointed out that those who grow up as men have all the benefits that come with it, even if their penises are amputated.

Bones, hand size, shoulder strength, etc.

It took a while for other sports to catch up, and the reason Thomas – a mediocre swimmer when competing as a man – was able to do so well in the women’s preliminary rounds was because she had all the shoulder advantages of a man and then some.

And yet there are many people who call anyone who makes such statements “bigoted.” They are not many in number, but their voices are very loud. The situation is getting tougher.

Even Google, Wikipedia, and other online sources try to rewrite the history every day, erasing the real names of people who have “transgendered” and pretending they have always been women.

Or, at best, the person was “designated male at birth,” as if this was the act of bigoted, ignorant doctors simply wanting to undermine the certification process.

Now, yesterday in Paris we witnessed the illogical and sinister end of all this.

After years of hard training, Angela Carini lasted just 46 seconds in the ring against Imane Kherif. The “fight” ended with Kherif landing two hard punches to Carini’s face. At first, it was unclear whether the Italian’s nose was broken.

“This is not fair,” cried a visibly distressed Carini. When the umpire tried to ask her to shake hands with the “victorious” Kherif, Carini understandably refused.

Many people around the world, especially in Carini’s native Italy, are outraged by what happened yesterday, but the IOC doesn’t seem to care.

No one knows when this madness will end, but for anyone who thinks this is a good thing, just remember: there are prisons across the country where men are incarcerated for hitting women. We may be able to publicly excuse this today, but we won’t be able to do so forever.
