In his second State of the Union address on Tuesday night, President Biden definitely skipped over the aftermath of the failed Afghan withdrawal and the classified documents scandal he’s now embroiled in.
“President Biden apparently forgot about Afghanistan, but I assure you the world has not,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R) tweeted after Biden’s speech.
“Our allies are still reeling from his disastrous withdrawal and our terrorist enemies are emboldened. Not a word about Afghanistan,” he wrote.

Biden repeatedly failed to deliver on promises he made in his 2022 State of the Union address
After the withdrawal was completed, Secretary of State Antony Blinken told members of the House Foreign Relations Committee that there were only 100 Americans left in Afghanistan and that they wanted to leave. It later revealed that more than 800 American citizens and at least 600 legal permanent residents of the United States had been evacuated after the evacuation.
Biden’s refusal to mention evacuation and relocation efforts is not surprising. He didn’t even mention it in his first speech.
Biden only mentioned China three times in his 2022 State of the Union address
Biden, who is currently under federal investigation for handling classified documents, did not mention Tuesday night.
The FBI conducted raids on two of Biden’s Delaware residences after classified documents dating back to the Obama administration and Biden’s Senate days were found in several unsecured neighborhoods.
The Brookings Institution, a center-left think tank, recommended in an article last week that Mr. Biden should either essentially ignore the controversy in his State of the Union address or take the so-called “Clinton approach.”
