Starting February 1st, a variety of films will be shown on the big screen at Manship Theatre. We have everything from children’s favorites to Oscar-nominated short films.

“The Iron Claw”: February 1-2 at 7:30 p.m., February 4 at 2 p.m.

The true story of the inseparable Von Erich brothers who made history in the fiercely competitive professional wrestling world of the early 1980s. Under the shadow of their domineering father and coach, the brothers seek immortality on the sport’s biggest stage, experiencing tragedies and triumphs.

“Despicable Me”: February 14th at 2 p.m.

When a criminal mastermind uses a trio of orphan girls as pawns in his grand scheme, he discovers that their love profoundly changes him for the better.

“The Promised Land”: February 15th at 7:30 p.m., February 17th at 2:00 p.m.

In 18th-century Denmark, Captain Ludwig Karlen (Mads Mikkelsen), a proud, ambitious, but impoverished war hero, sets out to tame a vast, uninhabitable land where nothing can, at first glance, seem to grow. As Karlen battles the elements and local bandits, he is joined by a couple who have escaped from the clutches of the greedy De Schinkel. As this group of misfits begins to establish a small community in this squalid location, De Schinkel vows revenge, and the conflict between him and Karlen promises to be just as violent and intense as the pair. .

“The Taste of Things”: March 29, 7:30 p.m.

Chef Eugenie and her boss Dodin have been fond of each other for over 20 years, and their romance creates dishes that impress even the world’s most famous chefs. Facing his girlfriend Eugenie’s reluctance to commit, Dodan begins cooking for her.
