Apple announced its latest iPad Pro and iPad Air series at its “Let Loose” event last week. Surprisingly, there was no update for the iPad Mini this time. Instead, Apple announced the new Apple Pencil Pro and updated Magic Keyboard. Nevertheless, Bloomberg’s Mark Garman speculates that Apple could announce a new iPad Mini towards the end of the year.

The 6th generation iPad Mini was released in late 2021. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman (via @appltrack), the new iPad Mini is expected to debut “as early as the end of this year.” Garman hinted that the next iPad Mini will have a faster chip, but won’t have significant enhancements.

This new model could replace the current iPad Mini 2021. The existing iPad Mini was last updated in September 2021 and is powered by the A15 Bionic processor with 256GB of internal capacity. According to rumors, the 7th generation iPad Mini may be equipped with an A16 chip and a slightly larger display compared to the current model.

At its recent Lets Loose event, Apple announced the latest additions to its iPad lineup, including the iPad Air and iPad Pro models. In addition to these devices, Apple also announced the new Apple Pencil Pro and Magic Keyboard.

iPad Air currently offers two display options, 10.9 inches and 13 inches, respectively, both with high-quality Liquid Retina (LCD) screens. These devices are powered by an octa-core M2 chip that ensures smooth performance.

The iPad Pro, on the other hand, boasts a “tandem OLED” screen and comes in 11-inch and 13-inch versions. Powered by Apple’s M4 chip, it offers up to 2TB of storage options. All of these new models run on the latest iPadOS 17.
