Air New Zealand is debuting an entirely new look with the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
This week, the Auckland-based career announced the completion of one of the Dreamliners’ first cabin overhauls, featuring a redesigned business-class cabin. This includes four new oversized pods on the front of the plane.
This is the first of the 14-air New Zealand 787S set up to get a facelift by the end of next year.

Nose to tail upgrade
The newly updated jet, which arrived in Auckland after a 184-day retrofit in Singapore, features a nose-to-tail upgrade, the airline said.
Business Class
Revamped Dreamliner Cabin: The headlining feature of the New Business Premier Luxe Seats offers more space and an upgraded experience from the airline’s baseline Lie-Flat business class accommodation.
The airline shared the images Thursday. The new Luxe Business Class Seats features companion seating that allows two travelers to eat together at the vast tray table.
In all, Air New Zealand’s newly remodeled 787-9S offers 26 business-class seats. It has 4 large gorgeous seats and 22 Lie-Flat Pods.
Premium Economy
At Premium Economy, its renovated 787 features 33 reclining devices with winged headrests.

The main cabin has all the economy seats. Among them is the Economy Skycouch option for airlines that offers a way to get better sleep with coaches as a TPG summer hull. It was discovered a few years ago.

Air New Zealand will eventually renovate all of its Dreamliner interiors. Seven of the jets should be revived by the end of 2025, while the rest should be done by the end of 2026, the airline said this week.

Air New Zealand has yet to say where the first refurbished 787 will fly, but airlines use this aircraft type on several US routes.
This month alone, we will fly from Oakland to four U.S. cities: Honolulu, San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York, according to data from aerial analytics firm Cirium.
