A Cox Communications customer experienced widespread Internet outages in the Las Vegas Valley on Wednesday morning.

Many residents of the Las Vegas area took to Twitter to report an outage that included users in most of the Valley.

“Cox Internet in Las Vegas crashed during CES week,” tweeted Twitter user Joseph Gumalo. “It’s a waste to see”

Southern Nevada’s largest internet supplier confirmed to the Las Vegas Review-Journal via Twitter direct message that there was a power outage in the area.

Cox Communications Care’s Twitter account said, “Currently, there are no quotes for repairs from technicians working to restore service. Please be advised that our technicians are working to restore service as soon as possible. Please wake up.”

Some Twitter users reported that service was restored around 11:30 a.m., with some users noting that they were without internet for nearly two hours.

This is a developing story. Please check the latest information.
