A year ago, a video went viral showing a boy about a 10- or 11-year-old in a police uniform. His neighbor was bulliing him. Some people have degraded and shaken his body parts. How could he become a black boy become stupid enough to support his public enemy, the police? Through all this, the boy stood there with a stoic look on his face, maintaining his composure.
When I saw the video, I was appalled with malicious intent towards it. We were so tired of society that we chuckled our kids because of our dreams of becoming police officers and serving people? Would he have been laughed at if his ambitions were to be a rapper?
Neighbors like these say the police station needs more people who look like them. But when one of them dares to dream of this dream, they swell in front of him.
This video pissed me off and I showed it around my community. We must be better than this, I said. We need to encourage a young dreamer like this young man.
DJ Daniel, 13-year-old brain tumor survivor, thanking Trump for the surprising honor during his speech to Congress
A few weeks ago, I saw President Donald Trump honor Devaljay “DJ” Daniel, a young 13-year-old boy, in a joint speech to Congress. “[DJ] “The president explained in his speech,” he always dreamed of becoming a police officer. However, in 2018, the DJ was diagnosed with a brain tumor.”
“The doctor gave him at most five months,” Trump added. “That was over six years ago. Since then, the DJ and his father have been engaged in quest to make his dream come true.”
The DJ has received honor badges from 908 police agencies nationwide. He surpassed his original goal of 100 badges.
“We’re asking our new Secret Service Director Sean Curran to represent the Secret Service in the US,” Trump said as the audience chanted “DJ!” It was a moving moment and a sincere moment.
After that I watched a new video of a DJ who had the calmness of a mature soul beyond his years. He spoke about how he lives with cancer: “I will continue until my gas tank runs out, and that’s when God calls you home.
that’s it. That’s all. That’s how you live your life. I shared this video widely.

To my surprise, my friend had shown a year ago that a young boy had been teased after wearing a police uniform and told me it was a DJ. I looked more closely and it was him. I couldn’t believe him. I felt a mixture of emotions.
On the other hand, I was proud that he had stuck to his dreams. He is the path he took from that ugly incident to the chambers of our country’s parliamentary building, along with the most powerful men and women of the land. That’s what you believe in yourself and your dreams.
On the other hand, I was full of disgust. In that viral video, his own neighbor was laughing at him and bullying him. What does it say about his own people? Is there anything more embarrassing than abandoning the dreams of young Americans?

The DJ found no support on those average streets, but he found it at the country’s Capitol.
In many ways, I think these two videos of DJs clearly show the battles Americans face. The malicious video laughed at his American dreams, and the sincere video showed a young man living bravely in the face of a very unfair sentence. Honesty does not take us anywhere, but sincerity is neither limiting nor limiting on strength. May I be a DJ, yes, man, man, sincere and God bless him to never surrender it.
