After the Maruti Suzuki’s Baleno which is also now being
sold as the Glanza by Toyota, there is an another product of Maruti Suzuki that
is now being shared with Toyota. It is the Maruti Suzuki’s highly successful sub
4 meter compact SUV, the Vitara Brezza which is now being also sold by Toyota as
the Urban Cruiser.

Unlike the Glanza, the Urban Cruiser does get some aesthetic changes to match
the line up of Toyota products. The front has been changed a little bit to
match the look of a Fortuner but that is it and the rest of the vehicle
remains exactly the same. Apart from few cosmetic changes, there are hardly
any differences between the Vitara Brezza and the Urban Cruiser when it comes
to specifications. Therefore, we will skip that part and jump to the “million
dollar” question i.e., “Which one should you buy?”.

Why should you get a Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza?

  • Costs a little less than the Urban Cruiser.
  • Wide network of Maruti Suzuki authorized workshops and dealers across the
    country.
  • Easy availability of Maruti Suzuki Genuine Parts (MGP).
  • Great resale value.
  • More product colour options.

Why should you get a Toyota Urban Cruiser?

  • Brand value of a globally renowned automobile manufacturer.
  • Ownership experience of a premium product.

  • Better manufacturing warranty i.e., 1,00,000 KM or 3 years.
  • Resale value of Toyota products are great as well.
  • Benefits of Toyota’s in-house insurance in case of an
    accident.

So, these are some of the key differences that separates both the
products. I hope this article will provide at least some help while
making your purchase decision.
