Rock Hill, South Carolina – Supporters of former President Donald Trump who attended Saturday’s final rally ahead of the South Carolina Republican presidential primary shared who they would like to see as his running mate in the November general election.
Fox News Digital spoke with several of the approximately 6,000 supporters who showed up on Winthrop University’s campus in Rock Hill, South Carolina, on Friday. Supporters waited in line for hours to see and hear former President Biden and his Republican bashing. Rival Nikki Haley’s name was never mentioned among those who mentioned others as being suitable for second-in-command.
“I really like Kali Lake. I think she’s going to be great,” one supporter told Fox, likely the Republican nominee in the race to flip Arizona’s Senate seat. He mentioned conservative firebrand Kali Lake.

Many others have suggested Lake and former presidential candidate and entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, both strong supporters of Trump in his bid to take back the White House.
“I think it’s Vivek,” one supporter told Fox, citing Ramaswamy’s “refusal” to bash Trump early in the primaries, unlike other candidates vying for the nomination. … I like what he said.” “I think that’s a big thing because he’s also a minority, so it’s not just white people supporting him.”
Some people mentioned Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, South Dakota’s Kristi Noem, neurosurgeon and former Trump administration official Ben Carson, and Florida Republican Rep. Byron Donald, but one person was not named. stood out more than anyone else: South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott.

“I like Scott’s Christian values, his support for Trump, his love for Trump, and I believe he has good support from Trump,” one supporter said of Scott. praised his performance as a conservative senator.
President Trump participated in a Fox News town hall earlier this week and revealed that he has at least a few names on his list of running mates. The list included Scott, DeSantis, Noem, Ramaswamy, Donald and former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard. Tulsi Gabbard is a Democrat-turned-independent who gained national recognition for her 2020 presidential bid and sharp criticism of Biden.
Haley was considered by many to be President Trump’s running mate early in the campaign, but this week she admitted to Fox that there was no chance of her being chosen as his running mate, but that idea remains was probably cemented by her refusal to withdraw from the race despite being the running mate. She is a huge underdog with little chance of becoming the Republican nominee.

“If I was worried about my political future, I wouldn’t be doing this,” she said. “If it were me, I would have left already. I’m doing this to wake up this country.”
After putting her name on the short list, President Trump ruled out any suggestion that Haley would be his running mate.
