After disappointing the series’ defeat to the Miami Marlins and Pittsburgh Pirates, the Washington Nationals faced the Colorado Rockies and won two of their three-game series. After a 10-game road trip, Washington is currently sitting fourth in the National League East.
The Baltimore Orioles are away from one of the worst losses of the season, losing 24-2 and dropping the series to the Cincinnati Reds. Starting season 9-12 and starting 90 or more win seasons in a row is not ideal, and this slow start route can be attributed to a lack of consistent starting rotation. But with a deadly young lineup, Baltimore will get hot at any point during the season. Baltimore is currently sitting fourth in the American League East.
Washington will attempt another series victory to start a seven-game homestand as he has the opportunity to go up to the division.

BAL: LHP Kade Povich (0-2)

Washington played great baseball in Colorado, bringing his first series victory since his last home series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. When you get home, it should help Washington be in a more comfortable environment. With injuries escalating early in the season, Washington is hoping to step up his rotation between veterans and the struggling Baltimore Orioles team through the lineup.
