Walmart shoppers have carved out a social media niche discussing in-store “floor walkers” and are at it again. In his latest video on the subject, Penny (@bigbagspenny616) flips the script on this floorwalker theory.

But, as is often the case, opinions in the comments section were divided. Some people harbor the same anger that Penny has toward disguised loss prevention personnel. But others seem to think he’s either trolling or being overly paranoid.
Uno reverse
Unlike many of his other clips, Penny isn’t simply recording a “floorwalker” that he believes is tailing him. Instead, he decides to do his own floorwalking on one of the supposed security guards.
Penny’s video begins with Penny entering the entrance to the paint aisle. He is standing behind a man with a shaved head looking at a can of paint. After 15 seconds, Penny speaks to a man she suspects to be a floor walker.
“You’re not trying to steal, are you?” he said to the man, and the man turned around. The man then gives what seems like a cheeky response.
“Yeah,” he says.
“What about you?” Penny asks off-camera in a humorous tone.
The man then laughed and said, “And run.”
At this point in their interaction, Penny reveals her motives. “I’m here to keep an eye on you to make sure you’re not, dude.”
As he said this, the man turned around and turned his attention back to the paint can. He laughed again and said to Penny, “Okay.”
long waiting time
Penny continues the conversation with the person. “Well, I saw you searching for a few minutes, so I wanted to make sure he wasn’t trying to steal anything, after all, I’m a floor walker.”
The TikToker went on to claim that he was a Walmart employee and was tasked with curbing potential theft. “So I’m walking around and looking at people who might be stealing and who aren’t.”
Hearing this, the man laughed again and Penny continued talking. “But you’re different, aren’t you?”
The man continued to laugh and said, “No!” I shake my head.
“Will you promise?” Penny asked, and the man replied with another humorous tone. He questions the logistics of getting a gallon of paint out of the store.
“They might just stick it in their pants and try to get out, because that’s what they always do,” Penny says.
The man then asked incredulously, “A gallon of paint?”
“Yeah, it’s a gallon of paint. They’ve been doing that all week,” he told the floorwalker suspect. “So when we saw you come back here, we thought, ‘You should come back here and see this guy.’
“Are you kidding me?” the man then asks Penny, still smiling.
“I’m telling you, they’ve been stealing gallons of paint all week,” the TikToker says in disgust.
The man who heard this seemed to be considering the possibility in his head. “How did they do it?”
And Penny is quick to explain, rattling off the supposed methodology. “When they take it, they put it under their front pants and walk right out the door. That’s why we have to put cameras here.”
“Serious?”
“I swear to God, dude,” Penny told him, finally ending the conversation. “Okay, I’ll let you go shopping.”
Floor walker or not?
Interrupting the TikToker, the man said, “They’re strong-willed people.”
“Yes, I do. But you seem like a decent man, so I’ll let you continue shopping.”
But before Penny leaves, the man asks him a question. “Do you know who works in this area? Because we need to shake up one of them,” he asked.
In answer to his question, Penny told the man, “I need a blue coat for that.” They won’t let me do that,” he told the paint warden. Furthermore, he explains once again. “It’s a bit of an undercover operation since I’m wearing civilian clothes. That way people won’t know I’m looking at them. You know what I mean? Okay, see you later.” Penny says as the clip comes to a close.
In the comments section of the post, Penny explained why she decided to target this particular individual. The TikToker said she clocked a man who had been following her from the parking lot before entering the store, so she ultimately decided to “draw him the Uno reverse card.”
Some people thought he was wrong
One commenter responding to Penny’s post simply said, “You’re tripping.”
Meanwhile, another person questioned the TikToker’s floor walking assessment skills. It’s a pure question. ”
There were also people who testified that they did the same thing as the man while innocently shopping. “Brother, I’ve been staring at the paint for literally an hour, trying to figure out which scene is best.”
Some said they were mistakenly pinned as floor walkers while shopping. However, they were having trouble finding the items they needed. “I was once accused of being a floorwalker. I didn’t know what oil my car needed and I was waiting for a message from my boyfriend.”
In response, Penny explained to the aforementioned user why she believed the man worked at Walmart. “I went back to work on the paint, wondering if anyone would buy paint from Walmart. And lo and behold, this guy was back in the aisle with me.”
others agreed
However, there were many users on the app who supported Penny’s rating. “Who would stare at paint that long?” one TikToker asked.
Another person said he used to work at Walmart and confirmed that floor walkers do exist. “LOL, floorwalkers aren’t allowed to call themselves floorwalkers. When I worked there, a floorwalker got mad because I almost blew his cover. ”
One user suggested a possible theme for Penny’s next UNO inverted floor walking stunt. “Tell them that you are an executive-level floor walker for a company, and it is your job to monitor people walking on the store floor.”
