The University of California, Davis has tapped Tim Prow to be the school’s next head football coach, turning to someone with deep Aggies roots. Plow most recently served as an assistant coach at the University of California, Berkeley for the 2023 season. Plow, a quarterback at UC Davis who graduated in 2008, began his coaching career as a student assistant that year. He went on to hold multiple coaching positions in college. He joined the quarterback coaching staff in 2009 and assumed passing game coordinator duties from 2010 to 2012. He coached at Northern Arizona from 2013 to 2016 before returning to Davis in 2017. He was the offensive coordinator at UC Davis, where he was the quarterbacks coach before taking the offensive coordinator role at Boise State in 2021-2022. Plow recently took over as head coach after Dan Hawkins announced he was stepping down after seven seasons leading the team. “I’m really excited to have Tim take over the reins of our football program and pass the torch from Coach Hawkins to our own program,” said Rocco, UC Davis Director of Athletics.・Mr. DeLuca said. “My numerous conversations with Tim over the past few days have shown me that he shares our values, passion, competitive spirit, and most importantly, the personal growth of our student-athletes.
