The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has issued warnings for three popular beaches in Milwaukee County. A “growth of germs” advisory has been issued for the beaches of Milwaukee’s South Shore Beach, Doctor’s Park in Bayside and Atwater Park in Shorewood. The advisory went into effect on July 7 for South Shore Beach following rising levels of bacteria. coli was found.
