On Friday, “The Talk” had its final curtain call after 15 years on the air.
Jerry O’Connell started the show by joking, “I just wanted to know why everyone is being so nice today.”
Fellow host Amanda Kloots got emotional as she talked about the importance of open communication and listening to and respecting everyone’s opinions.
She emphasized: “That’s what we have to do every day: talk, not fight, and be part of each other’s families.”
The episode also focused on OG host Sheryl Underwood, who thanked viewers for joining her on her “fashion journey” over the past 14 seasons.
She quipped, “You’ve seen what’s happening to me.”
A retrospective video of Underwood was also shown, with highlights from her first appearance on the show to her wig and weight loss journey to her kiss with John Stamos.
Earlier this week, retrospective videos of other hosts were shown.
The program also paid homage to past episodes of “The Talk.” Julie Chen Moonves, Sharon Osbourne, Carrie Ann Inaba, Sara Gilbert, Aisha Tyler, Eve and Marie Osmond will appear in the video package.
Shemar Moore, who appeared on the show 26 times, also played a video during the finale to say goodbye.
At the end of the show, Jerry, Amanda, Cheryl, Akbar Gbajabiamila, and Natalie Morales toasted with champagne and Natalie said, I’m going to miss you all very much. Raise your glasses for “The Talk”! ”
