From the bustling city streets of Seoul to the sandy beaches of Busan, South Korea There’s a lot to offer. And although it’s a long (and often expensive) trip from the US, you can do it comfortably with airline miles and credit card points. Seoul’s Incheon International Airport (ICN) offers many options with direct flights to several North American airports from a variety of Korean and US airlines.
Here we will explain the best ways to redeem points and miles for flights from the US to South Korea by airlines.
Air Canada
Air Canada operates an extensive network of routes in most major US cities, which can be used to connect to ICN bound flights from Air Canada hubs. The Canadian Flag Carrier operates flights to ICN from the following cities:

Alaska Airlines

Another good option for booking a flight to Seoul, USA is Alaska Airlines’ mileage planning. Non-stop flights from DFW to ICN routes will be taxed and charged in 37,500 miles in economy class and 75,000 miles in business class.

If you have United Airlines Mileage Plus Expect miles to pay 60,500 miles for economic tickets or 110,000 miles for business class tickets in the coming months, plus lower taxes and fees. Please note that this pricing is the same regardless of the US airport you depart.

United MileagePlus uses dynamic pricing on its own flights. This means that the price you pay will vary depending on your route during flight and when booking. The lowest prices you’ll find on this route are 42,800 miles in the economy, 65,000 miles in the premium economy, or 100,000 miles in business class, and have a minimal tax and fee of $5.60 when departing the US, and around $34 in other directions. You can transfer Chase and Bilt Points to United.
Like Asiana flights, Air Canada Aeroplan is often the best deal when Amex, Bilt, Capital One or Chase book Unite Business Class tickets from SFO to ICN. Pay 50,000 points in Economy Class or 75,000 points in Business Class, plus taxes and fees on ICN bound flights and $70 on US bound flights.
