It may seem counterintuitive to visit Universal Orlando Resort in central Florida without riding a roller coaster, but there are days when the adrenaline rush makes you want to take a break. Instead, we focus on vehicles that provide plenty of eye-popping fun without flipping over at high speeds. If you don’t like coasters but love thrill rides, here are the 10 best rides at Universal Orlando.

Non-Roller Coaster Thrill Rides at Universal Orlando

There are a total of 10 Universal rides in this Universal Studios Orlando ride list. We split 5 each between Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure so you can choose either park on your next visit. Also, there are some 3D rides, so be careful if you’re not into that.

Islands of Adventure is Universal Orlando‘s second theme park. Walking distance from Universal Studios Florida. If you have an inter-park ticket, you can ride the Hogwarts Express between the two parks to ease your legs.

1. Spider-Man’s Amazing Adventures

Assumption: The Statue of Liberty has been stolen by bad guys. It’s up to our old friend, Spider-Man, to bring the Statue of Liberty back to the island. You’ll see plenty of Marvel characters throughout your adventure, so keep an eye out for them as you race to the top of skyscrapers or fly over the city in your nest. Again, he will be wearing 3-D glasses.

2. The Terror of Doctor Doom

If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to be inside a space shuttle soaring into the stars, take a ride on this thrilling ride. Its acceleration will be even faster. The spiteful Doctor Doom is testing his latest invention to suck fear out of humans. Once strapped in, get ready for a giant rocket to take to the skies. As soon as you reach the top, a force stronger than gravity pushes you back.

3. Jurassic Park River Adventure Ride

Everything is going well in the world of Jurassic Park. Hop on a raft-style boat for a fun swim on the calm river. But if you finish the ride happily, it’s not normal. Instead, he’s side by side with a Tyrannosaurus, and he has two options. Either be a dinosaur lunch or dive into an 85-foot drop in the dark. Of course, the only sensible option is a massive drop with water splashing all over the place.

4. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey

On another 3D ride, the fun begins with a queue of rides as you stroll through famous Hogwarts rooms, including the Herbal Plants and Snape’s Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom. Grab a bunch of Harry Potter movie Easter eggs, hop into a magical seat, fly through the Quidditch pitch, close this to the wild willow.

5. Skull Island: Kong’s Reign

You’ll have to wear another pair of glasses, but it’s well worth it. Riding an outdoor tram and trekking through the jungle becomes an all-or-nothing race for safety as spooky creatures and evil predators attack your vehicle. The ride ends with the Universal Orlando Resort’s premier animatronic, Kong himself, which is amazing.

Universal Studios in Florida includes Diagon Alley, Krustyland, and the new Minions Land opening in August 2023. The park’s non-coaster thrill rides are worth a visit.

6. Transformers: The Ride 3D

trust me. You don’t have to be a fan of toys or movie series to enjoy this thrill ride. The first destination is to hop in her N*E*S*T* vehicle. 7. Men in Black Alien Attack

In keeping with the movie trilogy, aliens have appeared across New York City, and it’s up to you and the Men in Black to rid the Big Apple of the foul creatures. You don’t need glasses, but you do need a strong stomach to spin at high speeds and score points.

8. Fast and Furious – Supercharger

Like most non-coaster thrill rides, it’s going to get your heart racing until something pulls a supercharged trigger. Check out movie props and high-gas cars as you walk through the admission lines. The ride itself is a 3D super chase through busy streets.

9. Harry Potter and Escape from Gringotts

This 3D thrill ride starts with a slow walk through Gringotts Bank and ends with you and Harry saving the day. In between, it’s a twisting, spinning, racing, and rolling adventure that confronts a dragon, Voldemort, and a few Death Eaters. It’s not a roller coaster, but it follows a track similar to the one in Gringott’s vault.

10. The Simpsons Ride

Since you are already in the anime world, visiting Krustyland is a must. Again, it’s a 3D ride full of drops and bounces around a theme park with Bart and his family. Of all the 3D rides at Universal Studios Florida, this one is the most intense to flip your stomach.

You can go on a roller coaster, but each course has plenty of other thrill rides. Universal Orlando resort park. Whether you’re zipping through the city streets or immersing yourself in a magical movie world, you’ll be screaming and laughing.
