Earlier this month, Taylor Swift was forced to cancel a show in Vienna after a terror plot was thwarted.
Now, Taylor is speaking out about the issue following the European leg of her Eraser tour.
She wrote Instagram“It was a shock when the Vienna concert was cancelled. Hearing the reason for the cancellation brought with it a new sense of fear and a huge sense of guilt as so many people had planned to come to the concert. But we are very grateful to the authorities, because thanks to them we only had to mourn the concert and not our lives.”
Taylor was originally scheduled to play Aug. 8-10 at Ernst Happel Stadium.

Swift then took strict security precautions for five shows at London’s Wembley Stadium.
She said: “I was heartened by the love and solidarity of our fans and decided to do everything in my power to protect the approximately 500,000 people who came to see the show in London. My team and I have been working every day with stadium staff and UK authorities to achieve this goal and I would like to thank them for all they have done.”
Taylor emphasized, “I want to be clear: I will not speak publicly about anything if I believe it has the potential to embolden people to seek harm from fans who attend my shows. In this case, ‘silence’ is actually showing restraint, waiting until the appropriate time to express myself. My number one priority is completing my European tour successfully and I am very relieved to say I have done so.”
Swift admitted she experienced a “roller coaster of emotions” when she took to the stage in London after cancelling a show in Vienna.
Swift also showed her love for British fans, writing, “All five Wembley Stadium crowds were filled with passion, joy and energy. The energy in the stadium was like the biggest bear hug you can get from 92,000 people every night and it transported me back to that carefree, calm place.”
