Student Finds Creative Way to DoorDash Food at School

On TikTok, a high school counselor shows how one of her students found a creative loophole to order DoorDash while in school.

High school counselor @fromthecounselorsdesk typically posts content about her work. This time, she recorded how one of her students ordered her DoorDash. The school doesn’t allow students to order DoorDash, but this student found a way around it.

“So, you can’t bring food to DoorDash, but can you pretend you’re my uncle and bring food to the office?” the student asked the driver. Confused, the driver replied, “Am I your uncle?” In short, the student asked Dash to pretend to be a member of his family and deliver the food.

After a moment of silence, Dashman relented. What is your full last name? Dasher asked. The student also asked the driver to remove the DoorDash sticker from the bag. The video then transitioned to the driver arriving with the student’s McDonald’s order.

“This is for my nephew,” said the dasher. When the security guard at the front desk asked who the order was from, the counselor said it was fine. The video ended with students receiving their orders.

“The most authentic Door Dasher that ever existed! @DoorDash When you’re hungry, sometimes you have to get creative!” the content creator wrote in the caption.

The Daily Dot reached out to @fromthecounselorsdesk via TikTok comments and direct messages. This video garnered him 3.4 million views. In the comments, viewers wanted the driver to receive a tip.

“You automatically get a $20 tip,” one viewer wrote.

“Bro, you should tip that guy,” said the second man.

But others also shared their thoughts.

“This is golden, how did you get that video from inside the office??” one user commented.

“So you conveniently had a camera in your office,” agreed another.

“The problem is when dozens of students do it, the office gets flooded with orders. I saw a girl eating a seafood boil during science class,” said a third. the person said.

The content creator responded to these remarks in the comments section. “I was helping them because I didn’t think it was actually going to work!” she explained. “So this only worked once!” Then everyone tried to do it. ”

Why are some schools banning meal delivery services? The Washington Post shared several reasons given by various school district officials.some of these include Concerns about nutrition, security and chaos.

“Students should not order food from Grubhub, DoorDash, etc. during school hours,” said an email to parents from Julie Ramschlag, dean of the Cab Calloway School of the Arts. “This is a safety concern and also disrupts the educational process within our community. Please do not order food from outside vendors to be delivered to your school during school hours.”
