Fungi Perfecti LLC in Olympia, Washington has expanded its host defense mushroom line with its BrainPower stack. Founder and mycologist Paul Stamette has developed a formula that combines the lion’s mane mushroom mycelium with the nerve supply vitamin niacin (B3 as nicotinic acid) and vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin).

Ingenuity Brands in Burlingame, California, introduced Brainiac Foods Neuro+ using the annual meeting of the American Academy of Pediatrics last fall. The two-item line debuted at Target stores nationwide. Varieties include strawberry bananas and carrot blueberries.
“Neuro+ provides the most advanced brain nutrition in the baby’s food category by adding milk fat spheres (MFGM), which are found in breast milk and proven to support the baby’s brain development and immune system,” the company says. Smoothie Cube subscription brand Bumpin Blends LLC, Los Angeles, kicked off with something new this year to be offered by more than 3,100 retailers nationwide. Walmart and Target Shoppers can purchase branded smoothie cubes in four flavors. Blends watermelon spiny pear (hydrated), cinnamon toast (mood), peanut butter cup (energy), and bumpin x Barbie strawberry dream (skin).

Vaxa Technologies America, Inc., Reykjavik and Los Angeles have expanded their Icelandic Ultra Spirulina (IUS) and algae-based Örlö nutrition line, a variety of products to boost health and health. Offerings include female vitality mix, brain performance bars (coconut chocolate chip cookie dough), focus and memory gummy (green apple & lime), and immunity.
Icelandic Ultraspirulina contains the only natural vegan source of active B12 in the form of methylcobalamin, the company says. IUS also features hemeFe2+ ions, which is the natural “optimal” form of iron for improved absorption. In January this year, Denver, a functional chocolate company, expanded its functional chocolate line with its four-item Funcho Kids collection. The variety includes carefreeness, brain, pain and sleepiness, with a dozen 12g chocolate squares in a 5.08oz pouch each.
Officials say carefree chocolate for children includes lemon balm, passion flowers and chamomile to promote relaxation and calmness.
