SeaWorld Orlando has announced the opening of Penguin Trek, one of its most anticipated family coasters. The coaster will open to the public this summer on July 7, with early access available to annual pass holders starting July 2. The family coaster is said to be set inside the all-new Antarctic continent and will take guests on an immersive adventure of thrilling rides and wildlife encounters. SeaWorld also said the attraction will have air-conditioned queues so guests won’t have to stand in the summer heat. The snowmobile-inspired ride will take guests on a journey exploring the icy wilderness of Antarctica at speeds of up to 43 mph. “Penguin Trek is a unique combination of thrill and education that will allow guests to immerse themselves in the wonders of Antarctica while highlighting our commitment to wildlife conservation and family-friendly fun. We look forward to families and thrill-seekers alike experiencing the fun of this incredible coaster,” said John Peterson, president of SeaWorld Orlando. SeaWorld said people who buy tickets on Thursday will be the first to ride the new coaster.
