To fill the void created by the departure of Raikwon O’Neal, Tampa Bay re-signed offensive lineman Jon Morchon, returning him to the practice squad.
Molchon spent the past few seasons on the Bucks’ practice squad and has experience at center and guard. With his return, Tampa Bay will have three players available: starting center Robert Hainsey, reserve guard center Nick Leverett and Morchon.
The 6-foot-3, 305-pound O’Neal, who played at UCLA, was primarily an offensive tackle for the Bucs during the preseason, but the team moved him inside to guard at the end of training camp.
The Bucks wanted to keep O’Neal, but there was no room for him on the active roster. And while the team feels he’s not ready to play in an NFL game yet, he’ll probably be busy with his stint with the hopeless Seahawks.
