Patrick Gibson and Sarah Michelle Gellar will star in a new Dexter prequel series, Dexter: Original Sin.
Extra spoke to Sarah Michelle and Patrick, who worked on the project with Patrick Dempsey and Christian Slater.
As a teenager in the ’90s, Geller was thrilled to be able to share the screen with excited people. she confessed. “When I was in high school, I was screaming and dying. Sometimes I would sit in the car and say, ‘There’s Christian Slater. There’s Patrick Dempsey. Whose hand should I hold to get out of the car?’ “Is that okay?”
In the show, Patrick changes his appearance and grows a mustache, which is not often seen.
SMG said, “He couldn’t wait to steal that…I thought it was a very interesting choice for him because obviously he’s perceived as this dream boat, Mr. Perfect. For Gibson, playing such a beloved character was “daunting.” “The first time I saw it come to fruition, I thought, ‘Oh my god, that’s Dexter.’ That’s crazy,” he recalled. “Then we found out that Clyde Phillips, the original showrunner, was on board, and Michael was on board as well. And I think that gave us confidence that the right people were doing it.”

Patrick added, “There aren’t too many characters who can scare Dexter Morgan or get him to do what they need to do, so I think Sarah was the perfect person for the job. She’s a great person to work with. It was a lot of fun.”
Patrick joked that he “watched a lot of Buffy” to prepare for the role, giving a nod to Sarah Michelle’s vampire slayer and her deadly skills.
He also spoke with Christian on “Extra,” where he opened up about reuniting with Patrick after working on “The Mobsters” together in 1991.
he said: Certainly, it was different when we worked together. You know, we were in our 20s. We were both just starting out. We were competitive. We were stupid and immature guys. We’re still stupid in some ways, but we’re smarter, and I think it’s great that we’ve survived the last 35 years and are here today. ”
Christian was a fan of the original “Dexter” before he signed on to play the character’s father in the prequel.
He said: “I saw the original show a few years after it aired, and I fell in love with it. I thought it was great. As an actor, it’s the kind of show that makes you go, ‘Oh, I want to be on that show!’ It was one of the.
