Welcome to edition 7.37 of Rocket Report! It will be interesting to see how quickly European officials accepted to ensure space launch capabilities that are independent of other countries. A few years ago, European government satellites were released regularly on Russian Soyuz rockets, and most recently on the US SpaceX Falcon 9 Rockets. Russia is now Non-grata In European government circles, the Trump administration is expanding the rifts across the Atlantic. European leaders cite the close ties between the Trump administration and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk. If European countries can reform how they treat commercial space companies, Europe has enough ambition, know-how and money to nurture a competitive launch industry.

ISAR Aerospace is aiming for a weekend launch. The German startup, named Isar Aerospace, is about to launch its first rocket on Saturday, aiming to become the first in the wave of new European launch companies reaching orbit, ARS reports. The spectral rocket consists of two stages, approximately 92 feet (28 meters) tall and can carry payloads up to 1 meter (2,200 pounds) into low-earth orbit. Based in Munich, ISAR was founded in 2018 by three graduate students from the university. Isal washed launch attempts on Monday due to unfavourable winds at Norwegian launch sites.
From the North Pole …In particular, this will be the first orbital launch attempt from a Western European launch pad. The Guiana Space Center, run by France in South America, is the main space port of European rockets. Virgin Orbit attempted to launch it in the air from a UK airport in 2023, and Plesetsk Cosmodrome is located in Russia, Europe. The ISAR launch site is named Andea Space Plant, located approximately 650 miles (1,050 km) north of Oslo in the Arctic Circle. (Submitted by Ellpeatea)
