“Real Housewives of Miami” star Julia Lemigova and tennis legend Martina Navratilova have added to their family!
The couple recently welcomed two sons into their family through adoption.
Martina, 67, said in a statement: said “We’re elated to recognize the challenges and rewards for all of us,” he told People magazine.
The couple had been considering adoption for a while, but were forced to put their plans on hold when Martina was diagnosed with cancer.
During the fifth season of “The Real Housewives of Miami,” Julia, 52, told Andy, “When you adopt a child, you have to think about the child. And right now it’s all about Martina and her getting healthy. So we’ve put it on hold. We thought any minute now the agency would call us and give us the happy news that we’re having a baby. But we’re battling two cancers.”
In June 2023, Martina announced the good news…she was cancer free!
A few months later, Julia Page 6 They said they “haven’t closed the door yet” on their adoption plans.
The news comes as something of a surprise, as Martina had seemingly ruled out adoption during an interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored.
In March, she told Piers about her battle with cancer. [adoption] That was a nice thought for a while, but I think this has really brought it home to me: I’m not the youngest anymore, and I don’t want to be the grandma on the playground.”
She added: “Forget that part. I just don’t think there’s enough space for this to happen.”
Looks like there’s been a change of heart!
Julia is also the mother of daughters Maximilian Stern, Emma Lemigova and Victoria Lemigova.
Julia and Martina have been married since 2014.
