As we did Report,We have almost the deadline for actual IDs. Unfortunately, the surge in people is about to obtain a last-minute approved ID at DMVS nationwide, leading to long queues and impossible appointments of discovery. That said, there may still be a way for you to temporarily avoid the deadline.
The new security standards for driver’s licenses and state identification cards come into effect on May 7th. You will need to identify your actual ID approval (most commonly a state driver’s license) or one of the other federally approved identification documents, such as a passport, to pass through the airport security checkpoint.
There are several wiggled rooms at the airport, allowing passengers to pass on a case-by-case basis, but even if you don’t have a new ID by the deadline, you may not need to carry your passport “just in case.”
If you have a quick security program membership Clear Plusyou can upload your passport to use the clear lane even after the actual ID deadline has come into effect. Clear uses member data, including fingerprints and IRIS scans, to automate identity verification for most users for screening for transport security management.
“Clear’s ability to upload passports to the app provides travelers with an easy way to prepare their actual ID,” Clear told TPG.

Clears the actual ID notification. Clear
This feature allows members to upgrade their ID eligibility without having to renew their account at the airport. By making the ID into a file, members can keep it in their pocket.
It’s easy to scan and upload your passport data from home using the Clear Mobile app. The app uses your phone to upload a photo of your passport and scans the chips in your passport to check. We managed to complete the entire process in just a few minutes.
As you can see in the gallery below, the app is explained step by step.

Clears the passport function. Clear
“The technology we build to authenticate our passport means we can leave that passport in our home,” Kyle McLaughlin, executive vice president of Travel and Aviation, told TPG in an interview last week. “And once you get to the airport, you’re going through the certification lane again, so you’re a clear member and if you did your leg work in advance, it’s as if you had your actual ID.”

Even better news: Clear is easier to sign up as Real ID unfolds. Starting next month, new members can use the Clear Mobile app to register for Clear and skip to go to the Registration Center.
“Travelers sitting here are worried about the news they are hearing and what the airport will look like. [with a] A simple, clear registration that can be done completely remotely… you’ll be heading directly to the checkpoint,” McLaughlin said.
If you don’t have it yet, that’s another potential reason to become clear. There is a different form of ID during the transition to an actual ID at the airport, but I hope that it is clear what you need.
