Penn Badgley is ready for the final season of his Netflix show “You.”
“Extra” spoke with Pen. Penn called it “bittersweet” to say goodbye to his character Joe Goldberg.
He said, “It’s sweeter than bitter. In fact, honestly, we actually needed a show and the concept was a necessary concept at the end. Everyone agreed to it: writers, me, me, people, fans.
What it meant to be him playing Joe for five seasons, Bajri replied:
“It’s because it’s not something he plays, right? You know? And I don’t mean anything like murder. I mean something subtle, something we can all do, and actually what we all do. Desire turns love into something else, that’s where I’ve learned a lot from him.”
Penn watched Joe in the new season, saying, “I’m at home in New York. He’s actually home in Mooney again. He’s a billionaire, so he owns it as a charity case… he’s like a celebrity.”
Regarding the end of the series, Bajri teased: “Joe has a certain important way of doing it. At least he’s been caught and trying to dismantle it. He’s always a slippery fish. I think I finished it very well.”
Madeline Brewer is on the show during the finale season. Penn said, “Personally, I think people love her… I think she will probably become an icon. She may give love. [Quinn] Run for her money, do you know? ”
Penn also spoke about doing a “Gossip Girl” style voiceover on Kristen Bell’s show “Nobody Wants This.”
When asked if Kristen was surprised by his voiceover, he commented:

Regarding staying in touch with his “Gossip Girl” co-stars, Penn said, “I had some of them on the podcast, and it’s like a college roommate.
Next, Bajri awaits the arrival of twins with his wife, Domino Kirk.
He said, “Who’s the twins ready? We’re not ready. We’re as ready as we can!”
Penn said, “There’s a meme. Parents, I think it has something to do with it, and I don’t think they can lie… It’s like “parenting at 8am” at 8am. It’s a photo of Tom Hanks. And that’s what we call “parenting at 8pm.” He screams.
