Tram drivers in the parking lot recently underwent training outside Epcot at the Walt Disney World Resort as tram services neared. The parking tram service missed a previously announced ‘2022’ reopening date, but is set to resume at both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios at some point in September.

Training has been going on since at least late August, but it wasn’t until September 3rd that we became aware of this particular training round.
This driver was training near the Eve parking lot on the “space” side of the EPCOT parking lot. The site, located behind the show building of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, opened in July of this year.

Disney parks announced the long-awaited return of parking trams to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios in late August. A parking tram transports guests who have parked their car in the car park to a drop-off point closer to the park entrance, minimizing walking distance.

Parking tram service has been suspended at Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios for more than 1,200 days. When it will eventually return at some point in September, it will be the first time since 2020 that all four Walt Disney World Parks will offer tram service.
The revival of parking trams is just another change in the ongoing review of parking structures at EPCOT. The Eve site was recently built and in January 2023 all sites will have new names.
