The Carolina Panthers further strengthened their defense on Friday by signing safety Jordan Fuller.
Terms were not disclosed, but sources told ESPN that Fuller has signed a one-year deal.
Mr. Fuller replaces Mr. Von Bell, who was released on Wednesday.
Bell signed with the Cincinnati Bengals on Friday and said he will circle the 2024 Bengals-Panthers matchup in Carolina on his calendar.
“It’s bulletin board material,” Bell said.
Fuller, 26, started all 17 games for the Los Angeles Rams during the 2023 season and tied for the Rams team lead with three interceptions.
Fuller finished the season as one of 11 players in the NFL to force six or more turnovers. He had three forced fumbles and three interceptions.
Fuller, a 2020 sixth-round pick of the Rams, played in 48 regular season games, starting 46 of them. He quickly earned a starting spot as a rookie, but struggled with injuries in 2021 and 2022.
In four NFL seasons, Fuller has seven interceptions, four forced fumbles, 17 passes defensed and 279 total tackles.
ESPN’s David Newton, Ben Baby and Sarah Barshop contributed to this report.
