We spent two weeks in Cornwall, England, with chatty relatives and seagulls trying to steal our chips, and here are some pictures if you want to see them.

I arrived at my late grandmother’s house…

…where my Auntie Lulu still lives. She always gives us a warm welcome. Here she is standing in front of the pub in town.

We used to go there a lot because they welcome dogs and children and they make a delicious Sunday roast.

And most importantly, the pub has a darts board – Anton and I bet £1 per game and you can see how good I was in the picture above haha.

Kids on vacation always make me laugh with how high they are as kites, and I was so happy that my friend Allison joined me with her family.

Every day, unless it was pouring rain, we would board a small boat and go down the river.

We were crammed in with aunts, uncles, cousins and babies.

My beautiful new godmother is one of them. When my cousins first asked if I could be his godmother, I told them I wasn’t religious, but they explained that they interpreted the role of a godmother to be a warm, caring adult that he could rely on at any time in his life. I was touched and honored to accept the offer. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Anton is also passionate about fishing, and with the prize money from the darts mentioned above, Royal National Lifeboat Beanie For cooler days.

By the way, what do you think of the view?

As always, we ate our body weight in fish and chips.

And one evening, Lulu cooked me a delicious dessert of strawberries, honey and yogurt. It was fresh, rich and sweet and delicious. I’ll be bookmarking it for next year’s strawberry season in NYC.

Also, in the small fishing village across from the harbor, Hand-pressed seaweed printIsn’t that wonderful?

Another highlight of the trip was my brother playing guitar, adding a slow-paced soundtrack to the otherwise noisy and bustling house.

Toby was 14 and the oldest cousin of the younger generation, so he was like a rock star to the kids.

Same for Anton. 🙂

By the end of the two weeks we were all happy and exhausted.

And although we weren’t ready to leave yet, it was time to leave.

England, we miss you already and can’t wait to see you next year. And not shown in the pictures are the long days on the road, the jet lag, the sibling squabbles, the rainy days and all that goes with family travel! xoxoxo

P.S.: My Aunt Lulu’s beauty uniform and the life motto I learned at my grandmother’s funeral.
