Kelly Clarkson talks about season six of her hit daytime talk show.
“Extra’s” Mona Kosar Abdi spoke with Kelly about what’s next, including who he’d like to interview for his Kelly Oak segment.
Kelly said, “I feel like I dated Chapel Roan this summer. She was always at my ranch. And Benson Boone. And I’m doing a little more rapping this season because I love rapping. I’m not rapping, I’m just changing it up and making it more melodic.”
Kicking off the season this week, Kelly Clarkson took her show to the rooftop of “30 Rock” and performed a medley of her hits at her mother’s suggestion.
She explained, “My mom keeps telling me I need to do more music.”
Kelly is set to host guests including Kate Winslet, Uma Thurman and Halle Berry.
But despite the glitz of TV and interviews with big stars, Kelly says, “I can’t tell you how normal my life is. I’m not a celebrity, I don’t have a rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle. My kids and I have homework to do after this interview. So when I read, ‘Oh, I’m interviewing Kate Winslet tomorrow,’ I was like, ‘What?’ It just seems crazy to me.”
“The Kelly Clarkson Show” airs weekdays on NBC.
