of North Carolina Regional MLS (NCRMLS) has expanded into Georgia, according to an announcement on Monday, the latest strategic addition to MLS. Savannah MLS, Athens Area Real Estate Association and Classic MLSand Greater Augusta Real Estate Agents In its fold.
“The partnership between the state of Georgia and NCRMLS marks a major step forward for real estate professionals in our region,” the three Georgia associations said in a joint statement. “This collaboration will establish a more inclusive and interconnected MLS, providing access to a wider range of resources, information, connections and opportunities.”
“Ultimately, this development will enable our members to better serve their customers and grow their business.”
With these additions, NCRMLS, which announced it will rebrand with the new name by January 2025, now has more than 19,000 subscribers and serves real estate professionals throughout Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.
“In partnership with Georgia State, NCRMLS is preparing to enter a time of change and unveiling a new name and brand image that reflects the unity and direction of our evolving organization,” NCRMLS CEO Daniel Jones said in a statement.
“This integration will allow for a seamless transition and enhanced technology, allowing members to continue operating efficiently and effectively without interruption to their local MLS systems. We are excited to embark on this journey of progress and innovation together as we shape the future of MLS. NCRMLS’ expansion into Georgia demonstrates our forward-thinking approach to embracing innovation and collaboration to modernize real estate and enable professionals in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia to better serve consumers.”
Georgia’s MLS transition to the NCRMLS is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2025, according to the announcement.
Founded in 2016 and based in Castlehane, North Carolina, NCRMLS is a wholesale cooperative MLS, meaning member associations and MLSs pay NCRMLS a wholesale price per member and then charge members the retail price they choose to access the MLS.
