A billionaire relative of California Governor Gavin Newsom’s wife will host a major fundraiser for former President Trump in California on Friday, according to reports.
Tom and Stacey Siebel are hosting a fundraiser for Trump in the Bay Area’s Woodside community on Friday afternoon. Tom Siebel, a billionaire software developer and CEO of his enterprise AI software company, C3.ai, is a cousin of Jennifer Siebel Newsom, wife of Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom, the Los Angeles Times reported.
According to the Times and the San Francisco Gate, Tom Siebel has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign and to political action committees supporting Republican candidates.
Campaigning resumes: Biden surrogate Newsom campaigns for Harris
Newsom has been a vocal critic of President Trump and served as a surrogate for President Biden’s now-defunct reelection campaign.
Newsom had been on hiatus since Biden dropped out of the race in July but was back in Philadelphia this week campaigning for Democratic candidate and current Vice President Harris.
KTVU has also confirmed that Trump plans to attend fundraisers in the Bay Area, reporting that tickets start at $3,300 but could cost as much as $250,000 per person.

Following the debate in Philadelphia, Trump will attend 9/11 memorials in New York City and Shanksville, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday before heading out on the campaign trail again on Thursday. He will head west to Tucson, Arizona, before traveling to Los Angeles for a fundraiser on Thursday evening.

Trump is then scheduled to hold more fundraisers in the Bay Area and speak to the media on Friday morning before holding another rally in Las Vegas, according to the Associated Press.
