The trio have been accused of fraudulently boosting the value of publicly traded companies that were being marketed as candidates for mergers with private companies.
The Bangkok Post reported that Coker Jr. was arrested following a so-called red and black notice issued by Interpol, the international criminal police organization.
Thai police, working with the FBI, tracked Coker Jr. to a hotel before arresting him, The Post reported.
Coker Jr. was chairman of Hometown International, which for many years owned Your Hometown Deli in Paulsboro, New Jersey.
His father was a major shareholder in the company, which had a market capitalization of $100 million despite having less than $40,000 in total sales in 2021.
Prosecutors said Cokers and Patten “artificially inflated” the shares of Hometown International and E-Waste by 939% and 19,900%, respectively, through manipulated stock deals.
