We’ve frequently reported on the contents of the Lifetime Hilton Honors Diamond Kit since the Lifetime program launched around 10 years ago, around 2014/2015 (see details here and here ).
We also documented our journey to Lifetime Hilton Honors status in the Loyalty Lobby based on our early interactions with the Diamond Desk. This helped me track and record my progress since the Hilton website doesn’t display nights, base points, or Diamond years. They had promised to introduce these features in his 2020 (more details here).

Hilton Honors Diamond Lifetime Kit 2023
The Lifetime Kit comes in this cardboard box with a shipping label affixed to the outside. It was sent to an address in Hong Kong, but I had it forwarded to Japan.
The inner box is really nicely finished.
Lifetime cards are made of metal.
Here’s where things started to get interesting because I knew they would share the beginning of my Hilton travels. It is correct that I have been a Hilton Honors member for 19 years. This is because I started living without hotels 20 years ago and mainly stayed at Marriott and Hyatt hotels.
You may be wondering why it says 944 nights here when the lifetime requirement is 1,000 nights. There are two possible causes. Either your award nights aren’t being counted correctly, or your nights have doubled during the pandemic. Although the number of hotels (315) may sound like a lot, I estimate that over the past 20 years he has stayed in over 2,000 different hotels.
My Hilton travels have taken me to the Seychelles, the Galapagos Islands, French Polynesia (Moorea and Bora Bora), the Maldives, and quite a few other places, but Hilton has given me two places here: Santa Ana and Foothill Ranch. I decided to list “exciting” destinations (I can’t make this up). I remember staying at the HGI or Hampton Inn in Foothill Ranch, and there was a weird Double Tree Club in Santa Ana (terrible).
Remember when Hilton briefly owned Scandic hotels in Northern Europe? Scandic still manages three Hilton hotels in Finland.
There is a prompt that appears to front desk personnel when Lifetime Members check in. The only difference between a regular credit card and a diamond credit card is that you may get better upgrades at luxury Hilton hotels and brands.
These Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II are really nice and are available on Amazon for $279.

conclusion
I have to say I was pretty impressed with the kit Hilton sent me. It was very well presented. However, I wish it had included more statistics, like Starwood’s map, which I really appreciated, showing where I spent my nights around the world.
While Hilton intends to make this package a surprise, it still wants to offer choice within the gift, as it has in the past. I don’t want to carry around things I don’t need, so I’ve already re-gifted the earphones they sent me. I already have Apple earphones and am very happy with them.
Sebastian recently questioned the value of these lifetime tiers in an article (read more here).
In my opinion, they are worth it if they don’t require much additional effort. At first, he never imagined he would spend 1,000 nights at Hilton properties. However, their attractive promotions and prioritization of hotels outside of the US have led me to continue to stay here more often.
Another lifetime tier that I once considered out of reach is the Hyatt lifetime tier, which is based solely on spending ($200,000). To my surprise, I am about 65% of the way there. This means that if we continue on our current trajectory, we could reach this status in just a few more years.
Is there a lifetime level? What do you think about it? Would you stay in a certain hotel more often or fly a certain airline? Comment below.
