SAN MARCOS, Calif.—AUGUST January 19, 2022 – St. Augustine University of Health Sciences (USAHS) awarded the Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology (MS-SLP) Program by the Academic Accreditation Council for Audiology and Audiology We are pleased to announce that we have received our first accreditation from the Society. of CAA decided in July to award the MS-SLP program its first certification for five years. This is the maximum duration allowed for the initial certification of the program. This decision means the program is in good standing and the MS-SLP graduate has met her CAA criteria for program completion, Praxis exam pass rate, and professional employment.

New start date added

In even more good news about the program, we have added a summer semester start date. This means that beginning in May 2023, USAHS will offer his three start dates (September, January and May) for his MS-SLP program. This addition will give prospective students more options to start when it best suits their life plans. Also, more seats will be opened for students in this competitive field of education.

No GRE required

We believe other factors are more important in SLP admissions, such as the applicant’s broad range of achievements and personal qualities. With this in mind, we have removed the GRE requirement. His GRE score is no longer required for admission to the MS-SLP program.

MS-SLP Program Journey

The MS-SLP program started in Fall 2018 at the USAHS campus in Austin, Texas. His second location followed in Fall 2019 at the Dallas campus. Through July of this year, programs at both campuses were first candidates for accreditation from his CAA and are making satisfactory progress toward compliance with accreditation standards.
