Lawyers for several of Jeffrey Epstein’s victims say there are further court documents detailing the sex offender’s actions and actions. name A number of employees are expected to be released in the coming days after the shocking release of the first set of files.
“This is just the beginning,” attorney Sigrid McCauley told NBC News on Wednesday night, hours after the first of 40 case files were unsealed in Manhattan federal court.
The documents included the names of people associated with Mr. Epstein, including Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Britain’s Prince Andrew, billionaire Glenn Dubin, Michael Jackson and magician David Copperfield.
The mere presence of their names on the file does not necessarily mean that they have been accused of abusing women or abetting that abuse.
“There’s a lot more to come,” McCauley said. “There’s definitely a fair amount left.”
“And as we’ve seen, truth is stranger than fiction in this case, so we’re not sure how the sophisticated human trafficking operation was carried out over the decades, and which “We learn more each time about who was involved,” said McCauley, who represents Epstein victims. Virginia Giuffre and other victims.
“It was large in scale, it was significant, and it affected literally hundreds of young women. So how did it happen, who knew about it, and what was going on? We’ll start to understand more,” McCauley said.
The released court documents are part of a case file from a lawsuit Giuffre filed several years ago against Ghislaine Maxwell, a British socialite who served as a source for young women for her ex-girlfriend, Epstein. Part of it.
Epstein committed suicide in a New York prison in August 2019, a month after he was arrested on federal charges of sex trafficking of underage girls.
Maxwell is serving a 20-year federal prison sentence for aiding and abetting Epstein’s rampant sexual abuse of women.
Many of the names revealed in the first court documents released were previously known to have some connection to Mr. Epstein and Mr. Maxwell.
Epstein has long been known for his interactions with wealthy and powerful businessmen, celebrities, and other prominent people.
Prince Andrew reached an out-of-court settlement nearly two years ago with Giuffre, who had accused him of sexual assault while under Epstein and Maxwell’s control. Andrew denied her claims.
In a deposition released Wednesday in Mr. Giuffre’s case against Maxwell, another Epstein victim, Johanna Sjoberg, said that during a visit to Epstein’s New York home, Andrew placed his hand on her breast. He testified that Maxwell or Epstein placed his hands on her as if it were a doll. Like Andrew in “Virginia’s Breasts.”

Elsewhere in his deposition, Mr. Shoberg was asked about Mr. Clinton by Mr. Giuffre’s lawyer, Mr. McCauley.
“Has Jeffrey ever talked to you about Bill Clinton?” McCauley asked.
“He said at one point that Clinton liked young people, referring to girls,” Sjoberg responded.
Mr. Clinton has never been accused of sexual misconduct with any woman or girl associated with Mr. Epstein.
Asked for comment by NBC News, Clinton’s press secretary referred to a statement issued on the former president’s behalf in 2019, saying, “Jeffrey Epstein committed the horrific crimes to which he pleaded guilty in Florida years ago. I don’t know anything about that crime.” He was recently indicted in New York. ”
In the same statement, a spokesperson said that Ms. Clinton has not spoken to Mr. Epstein in “over 10 years.”
In an interview Wednesday night, Mr. McCauley praised Mr. Giuffre for his legal battle with Mr. Maxwell that led to the disclosure of documents and the indictments against Mr. Epstein and Mr. Maxwell.
“Virginia is an incredibly strong person. She has been through a lot throughout this journey,” McCauley said.
“When I started dating her about 10 years ago, she had a strong desire to seek truth and justice,” the lawyer said. “And I think this is a really bright moment to bring light to this issue and for people to realize what not only her but so many other young people went through and for justice and for people to understand what happened. It’s a really powerful thing for her to admit.”
