Netflix announced On Monday, it was announced that money heist series Berlin will be returning to the platform for a second season. Pedro Alonso will reprise his role as the iconic Berlin character. Additionally, the new season is expected to feature fresh storylines as it acknowledges the criticism the title faced in its first installment.
The streaming giant also released photos of the season 2 cast and said that the entire gang from season 1 will be returning for season 2 of Berlin. Netflix says:

Begoña Vargas (Welcome to Eden) is Cameron, a suicide bomber who always lives on the edge. Julio Peña Fernández (Through My Window) plays Roy, Berlin’s loyal servant. And Joel Sanchez brings Bruce to life with the relentless drive of a gangster.
During its premiere week, “BERLIN” became the most-watched series in the world, ranking in the top 10 in 91 countries. Since then, he has remained within the top 10 for seven consecutive weeks on non-English television, with his 348 million hours watched and his 53 million total views.

The series currently ranks 9th among the most-watched non-English series in Netflix history.
The show, created by Alex Pina, is produced by his company Vancouver Media. Additionally, the production company is currently producing El Refugio Atómico (The Fallout Shelter) for Netflix. The series is set in such a way that World War III will soon occur. In the story, a group of millionaires take refuge in an underground bunker.
