Melissa and Joe Golga attended the epic reopening of Planet Hollywood in New York on Tuesday, where “Extra” asked Melissa about the return of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.”
Melissa told Mona Kosar Abdi of “Extra” that she believes there will be “improvements.”
She said, “This is my opinion. They’re going to do some type of hybrid. They keep the couple and bring some new faces – by the way, I think it’s necessary. I’m not mad at that. I’m looking to take a break from the summer, you know. Every summer we shoot at my coastal home, so I’m excited to actually spend the summer.”
Joe said, “She wants to hang out with me.”
“I’m not mad at the pause,” Melissa repeated. “I know everyone is mad at it. I’m not really.”
Golga said he wasn’t afraid of cancellation, saying, “I think they’re reorganizing… Jerseys aren’t going anywhere – I don’t think that’s going on.”
When Mona said it was time to reform the show, Melissa replied: “I think Bravo is saying that out loud too. I don’t think they’re going to redo the whole cast. I think they’ll have a couple and bring in the couple. We’ll see what happens.”
Melissa is also having a birthday and she cooked about how they celebrate.
She said, “I never really asked for a gift. I’m excited about it, like a group of friends who go out to dinner every year. We always have a fun night. I told Joe, “I’m going to have to sort it out, as you know, so I can’t sort out my birthday dinner.”
Joe added: “I’m doing it, but… I had to let her know. Where do you want to go?” “It seems like I had to get involved because she’s her own, she’s changed and she has to control.”
Melissa squealed, “They really need to have a good universe or else I wouldn’t want to go.”
Joe said, “When I first met her, I was romantic and I was setting all of this. Now she’s too involved.”
Regarding the big night at Planet Hollywood, Melissa said she was excited to meet Boy George!
She added: So, that’s a bit right, and that’s exactly what it is. ”
