Williamsport Regional Airport and Chamber of Commerce Make Joint Announcement
The Williamsport Municipal Airport Authority (WMAA), in collaboration with the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce, will hold a large press conference on Monday, January 8th at the Williamsport Regional Airport Main Terminal, 724 Airport Road in Montoursville. We are planning to hold an event.
A joint announcement from WMAA and the Chamber of Commerce will provide details regarding the return of passenger flight service to the airport and the 10 counties it serves. The event, hosted by AAE Airport Executive Director Richard Howell and Chamber President and CEO Jason Fink, was also attended by business leaders and federal, state and local elected officials. Williamsport Regional Airport has been in operation since 1929. The new terminal reopened with a ribbon-cutting on Sunday, October 6, 2019, and prior to the COVID 19 pandemic, the regional airport served an estimated 40,000 travelers annually.
