King Charles was temporarily hospitalized Thursday.
In a statement, Buckingham Palace revealed that Charles was admitted to the hospital “following the scheduled ongoing treatment for cancer this morning.”
They said, “The King experienced temporary side effects that required short periods of observation. [the] hospital. “
His hospitalization forced Charles to cancel his daily engagement.
The Palace added: “Tomorrow’s diary program will also be rescheduled as a precautionary measure to act on medical advice.”
“We apologize to all those who may be inconvenient or disappointed as a result,” the statement concluded.
In February 2024, Charles announced his cancer diagnosis after three days of hospitalization.
At the time, Buckingham Palace said, “The King is grateful to the medical team for the prompt intervention made possible thanks to recent hospital procedures. He is completely positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public interest as soon as possible.
