In Middle-earth, there are Orcs and Balrogs, Dark Wizardbut the worst villain of The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power That person is none other than Kemen (Leon Wadham).
The introduction of Tom Bombadil in The Rings of Power is a direct quote from The Fellowship of the Ring
Kemen was a somewhat minor presence overall. Ring of Power Season 1 was undeniably sneaky. As an up-and-coming politician, he worked behind the scenes with his father Ar-Pharazôn (Tristan Gravel) to turn the people of Númenor against Queen Tar-Míriel (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), even secretly plotting arson to stop a Númenorean army from reaching Middle-earth.
But now that Pharazon was king, Kemen could act openly with the authority of Númenor, and such unchecked power led to great despicable and arrogant behavior. In just five episodes of season two, Kemen has rampaged through his evil deeds and established himself as one of the biggest threats to Middle-earth, and the character in the series most worth punching.
Kemen’s reign of terror began with a mission from his father: to strip members of the Seaguard of their ranks, including Captain Elendil (Lloyd Owen), whose loyalty to Miriel and loyalty to the Valar constituted treason in Kemen’s eyes.
Did you notice the hint about the Stranger’s real name in The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power Season 2?
As Elendil handed over the sword, his former crew members saluted, “O Captain! My Captain!” Live in the momentOf course, Kemen interrupts the proceedings with a cheeky comment that “he’s nobody’s captain now.” Shut up, dude! Isn’t it enough that we’ve set Elendil’s daughter, Aerien (Emma Horvath), against him? Leave your cheeky remarks at home!

As the episode progresses, Kemen grows more and more nasty, storming into the oldest temple of the Valar in Númenor and interrupting a memorial service for the soldiers who died in Middle-earth. Hey, isn’t one of the biggest reasons Míriel was hated because she let the soldiers go to Middle-earth in the first place? The hypocrisy is over the top! The least you can do is let the people grieve these losses in peace before blaming the temple.
But Kemen isn’t here to do the most bad stuff, he’s here to do the absolute best. largelyFrom trivially destroying relics of the Valar to poking fun at the strained relationship between Elendil and Aerien and smirking like there’s no tomorrow, hats off to Wadham for channeling Kemen’s infuriating self-satisfaction so well. He somehow manages to turn a seemingly innocuous remark like “You’re in the way of the new aqueduct” into the most infuriating line in the entire show.
What does “Sûza-t” mean in The Lord of the Rings: The Ring of Power Season 2, Episode 4?
Thankfully, Elendil must have heard my pleas for someone to go back and punch Kemen in the face. In legend, Kemen is beaten so badly, remember when Tyrion slapped Joffrey? game of thronesYeah, I sensed the exact same level of hype here too.
The ensuing brawl doesn’t end well for Elendil’s men, but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t awesome to see Kemen get thrashed by former Seaguard member Valandil (Alex Tarrant). Valandil was too honorable to take down Kemen, after all. But you know who’s okay with dishonor? Yep, Kemen. I’d like to see Númenor’s greatest brat stab Valandil in the back and then punch him in the face again just like that. It’s a shame Elendil is in prison. Otherwise, know He will get it done.
Kemen’s infuriating behavior throughout this episode is not only proof that he is evil in every respect, but also proof of the corruption of Númenor and its humans. It is no wonder that this episode focuses on: Sauron (Charlie Vickers) He tries to convince Celebrimbor (Charles Edwards) to create a power ring for men, because he knows that people like Kemen exist and will do anything for power.
Truly, if Kemen ever comes to Middle-earth, he is the prime candidate to obtain one of the nine rings for mortals. The Lord of the Rings Fans know how it goes: the ultimate downfall and transformation into a Ringwraith. According to Kemen’s late mother, Pharazon: did He predicts a “horrible end” and I think becoming a Nazgul would fall into that category (as would getting punched, which I’d be happy to oblige!).
