Kelly Clarkson has returned to her talk show in time for a very important milestone!
The singer resumed hosting duties for the “Kelly Clarkson Show” on Tuesday after an unexplained absence.
On Thursday, Kelly celebrated the show’s 1000th episode with a heartfelt speech.
She told the audience, “Our show premiered on September 9, 2019 with the help of a great friend. We created 999 episodes over the next five and a half years. I can’t believe we’ll be marking the 1,000th today. It’s crazy.”
Clarkson hit the big stars and everyday heroes featured on the show, adding, “We created a community and supported each other through many ups and downs, many ups and downs.”
Kelly recalls hosting during the pandemic, sending audiences on several big trips over the years, saying, “I hosted eye patches and legs with a cast, and they were two different shows…
She said, “My producers learned that when they said I love magic like I was 10 years old and can’t cook, I wasn’t kidding.
Clarkson celebrated holidays like Halloween and Christmas, and reflected on having lots of furry friends on stage.
The show moved from Los Angeles to New York and at one point changed locations. “I love this place!” she said.
Other fun places included the White House, her Montana Ranch, and even her own backyard.
“We laughed together about 1,000 episodes. We cried with beautiful stories, sang with some people, danced together, celebrated, competed together,” she shared.
Hoshi added, “I was alone and I lost a lot.” When the audience responded sympathetically, she said, “It’s okay.”
Kelly continued. “And along the way we found comfort to each other.
She said, “We started with the intention of making connections and bringing people together. It feels like we’re doing just that, and although I can’t cook yet,” she said.
Kelly has gone through many things since the show began, including finalizing her controversial divorce with Brandon Blackstock. She is also on a health trip and loses a significant amount of weight with the help of weight loss pills.
Regarding Kelly’s absence, it began when Sim Liu, who was scheduled to be a guest, intervened on March 3rd, to host the “Kelly Clarkson Show.” Kelly returned to hosting on March 4th, but then took a break.
The show recruited stars like Brooke Shields, Wanda Sykes and Molly Sims, filling out while she was gone.
According to a TMZ source, “Kelly herself is totally fine. She’s dealing with personal issues that she isn’t directly involved.”
A source at Entertainment Weekly added that Kelly was not sick.
