Wildlife biologist and television personality Jeff Corwin Jr. Ranger This summer’s competition, encouraging children to go out in nature to support conservation efforts in search of a $20,000 prize opportunity.
According to a 2015 report from the University of Michigan Institute for Social Research, children in America only spend seven minutes a day on unstructured outdoor play.
Designed for children aged 4-12, the Jr. Ranger contest combines outdoor adventure, wildlife education and philanthropy into one compelling initiative. National Wildlife Federation (NWF).
Released by HugeJr. Ranger invites young participants to dive into the world of animals and ecosystems. Explore fascinating wildlife facts and win badges, and participants compete for public votes to pursue the grand prize in the contest: $20,000 and featured in Ranger Rick Magazine.

Voters can vote one free of charge every day, and additional dollars will be donated as one additional vote. Funds raised through votes will be supported NWF’s Green Hour Kids Campaignchildren encourage them to spend at least 60 minutes outdoors every day for better physical, mental and emotional well-being.
Competition arrives at a time when concerns about screen time and sedentary habits are growing. It has been shown that time spent in nature is numerous that helps children develop a stronger immune system, improve sleep, reduce stress, and strengthen their focus.
