Jack Black and Jason Momoa chatted with “Extra” special correspondent Jake Hamilton ahead of their new blockbuster, “Minecraft.”
When they sat for an interview it was announced that Jack was back to hosting “Saturday Night Live” with musical guests Elton John and Brandy Carlisle.
Jack said of the gig: “I’ve been on that show in 19. I’ve hosted it whenever I’ve returned to the 80s, or anytime I’ve hosted it, so it’s exciting to be asked. I look forward to mixing it up with an entirely new generation of “SNL.”
As for Elton, Black said, “I’ll do whatever Elton says to me, and we hope we’ll mix it up a bit.”
Jake also had to find the answer to the fiery questions.
The two stars cheerfully wrapped Jake in a huge embrace. “A lovely big hug,” Jason said, “it’s a little soft and a little stiff.”
“It’s worth the admission fee,” Jack agreed, adding, “We don’t put out those guys sandwiches very often. You’re the first person to receive a Jack Black Jason Momoaman sandwich.”
Momoa squealed, “You’re the meat from our man’s sandwich, you’re a companion.”
Jack continued, “We just slice your meat together.”
Hamilton said it was “heaven” for him, “career peak” and he joked that he might just retire.

“Minecraft” has made it a bestselling video game, and Jason and Jack share what games and activities they played as teens.
Jack was on BMX bikes, skateboarding, surfing and body surfing, but Jason revealed that he liked skateboarding as a child and could even trick!
“I skateboarded too,” Jack shared. “But I couldn’t do the trick.
Jason said he is still skating and sharing “I have a half-pipe in my house.” He said he could still get the air, but admitted, “It hurts a little more now. I’m pretty big, I’m a mate.”
Jason’s surfing skills are equally impressive. He once towed by a 20-foot wave! “I’ve never paddled anything. I think it’s bigger than six feet in Hawaii. That’s pretty big. There’s a certain variety out there. The 8 feet of Hawaiian waves are pretty big… when you tow, you’re basically riding the mountains.
When it comes to video games, Jack said, “My first gig was Atari commercials, Activision and pitfalls. I was big in the early Atari games and loved the pitfalls. I believed in the products I was selling there.”
However, Jason was about the “Street Fighter” of the time.
Additionally, Jason was tapped to play the robot for DC, but since James Gunn hasn’t announced his Batman, he had to ask if he might take on the role of the Jack Black caped Crusade.
Jack joked.
“Minecraft” will be in theaters on April 4th.
