After nearly two years in office, President Joe Biden has said he will finally visit the southern border. This checks a box, but doesn’t even solve the problem you’re facing there.
It’s one thing to visit El Paso, Texas, and it’s one thing to see thousands of people waiting to be illegally immigrated on the other side of the southern border. It’s unclear if the president plans to witness this.
But before we get to that, we can’t ignore how remarkable it is to consider how long it took the president to visit the southern border.
The president’s failure to visit the southern border, in the face of record illegal transit and at a time of clear danger, is a sign that the U.S. commander-in-chief does not visit the Pentagon during military operations, and the It’s the same as not going to the Pentagon inside. We have not assessed the damage caused by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) during the COVID-19 pandemic, or after natural disasters, just to name a few.
That’s the extent of this issue, which this president has so far ignored. Looking at the stories, pictures and figures that have been widely shown and reported by the media over the past few months, it’s hard to imagine this crisis being ignored.
Border Patrol ‘beyond frustration’ as Biden prepares to finally visit besieged southern border
During President Biden’s visit, I’m sure he will denounce Congress for doing nothing on immigration reform. I’ve also said that this issue needs to be addressed, but the Biden administration has failed to implement one of the most important aspects of our system. Do you fully understand how difficult it was? The southern border from the onslaught of illegal immigration.
Over 2.5 million illegal immigrants in calendar year 2022 are straining the entire system at the federal, state and local levels. This is not just a Texas and Arizona problem. Ask the Democrats of Denver, New York, and Washington, D.C., why they are as focused on the border crisis as the Governor of Texas. Or why the US Senator from West Virginia is worried about the illegal drugs spreading across the region due to the continued influx into the US Unfortunately, fentanyl seizures account for 44% of Increased has.
Tensions at the southern border are affecting the effectiveness and operations of the entire Homeland Security Organization and are unsustainable.
The numbers don’t lie, they are staggering. But it outnumbers. Look at the trends.
We use the phrase “best month since” like every month. From 2013 to his fiscal year 2020 (fiscal year), his average monthly encounters were 45,000, while his average monthly encounters in the Biden administration is his 200,000.
As immigration floods in, we are unable to dislodge those who have fled into the country. Last year, he removed only 78,000 people, and the percentage of people removed has dropped from 53% in 2021 to 39% in 2022.

I’ve been to the southern border several times, including El Paso, where the president is going. I’ve seen walls and physical barriers. I have visited processing centers and family units and seen firsthand the hastily built softside facilities. I also spoke with the men and women who were tasked with maintaining order there. In this crisis, the burden of these individuals and their families is too often overlooked.
Here is my message to President Biden: I hope your visit will spur the realization that you and your administration cannot have a serious conversation about immigration reform until these numbers are lowered.
